Sam Wood
Sam Wood (Gecko Founder) has the reputation as Australia's leading kids fitness professional. While studying exercise science, Sam worked with hundreds of children as a personal trainer and coach. Gecko was born to allow such amazing results to be experienced by thousands more.
He has worked in every possible sector of the company and although today he shares his time between the boardroom and various Gecko centres his passion and drive are ever prevalent in Gecko growth. Sam is on several Fitness and Business boards as well as regularly writing and presenting on kids health and fitness.
Sam is involved with the selection, launch and ongoing support of all new Gecko locations and also works closely with childhood psychologists, physiologists and conditioning coaches in the creation and filming of new programs.
Sam has a charismatic and infectious personality and thoroughly enjoys continued face to face contact with all Gecko staff. With over 12 years industry experience, Sam is determined to continue combining his knowledge and entrepreneurial flare leading Gecko into the future.
